Jackob, I was with the USAF at NAS Kef back in 1983-1984. At that time I was KD5YG/TF. Had my station setup at my Office which at that time was the F4 Flight Simulator building in the Icelandic Contractor area. At that time we had Cookie, WA2CPY, Ted, W3TB and John, KE4SX that were all active. You might know Cookie as he was there again in March 1991. I ran into him as we were returning from Desert Storm. Spent a few days there due to broke airplane.

Jacob. After looking at your Phots of NAS Kef, I think I remember you from the I.P. Squad. If memory serves me right was your IP#16? I served in Navy Security Department from 12/18/81 thru 1/25/83. I Went on to AOCS in Pensacola, FL. I finished out my career at the rank of Commander. I would be interested to find out if you were in fact IP#16. By the way thanks for posting the photos, they brought back some great memories. I never made it back to Iceland since then, but I one day would like to show my kids. Jacob, TNX for the nice PSK31 contact. Nice pictures and story on your site. As you can see on my site at the pictures, I work for the NL MFA and in 'the old days' we had a lot of HF Radio (also with HARRIS, later Sailor).
