Wormholes are a well documented and established fact of nature. If you look out your window as you eat your breakfast you may notice blackbirds tugging at something in the lawn. The force can be so great that the bird may either fail or fall over backwards as it extracts the worm. If you go out and examine the wormhole you will notice how small it is. A rough calculation could therefore be made as to the force that the hole exerts to prevent the worm from being removed. Speaking of which, this creature is probably so named because they are often to be found in wormholes. They are obviously very frail and feeble creatures that are unable to resist the great forces that these small wormholes exert and therefore get easily trapped in them.

Then Newton announced in due course
His own law of gravity's force:
"It goes, I declare,
As the inverted square
Of the distance from object to source."
