Unless you are one of the practitioners of some of the more extreme forms of Buddhism (those that eat only nuts, fruits and vegetables that have been preserved for long periods of time in order to prevent consuming any sort of life): then you should just get over yourselves and stop being so self righteous. If you eat a leaf of cabbage you are destroying life. It may be microscopic, but does that deem it as less important? Yes, mankind does atrocious things to all forms of life. Every single species on this planet has only one goal. That is survival. Do whales not murder? I'm pretty sure they(depending on their species)kill millions of krill, hundreds of seals, thousands of fish, etc. every year. I'm glad that there are people out there that feel so indignant about the slaying of whales that they condemn other forms of life. They destroy more life while taking a stroll than they could ever save by polluting the ocean with all the petrol products that the SS consume.

Positive words Eleni but please note that this was not a traditional political campaign. The APP does not believe there is a route to change using the political system as we are expected to. The system that controls our lives is corrupted at its core and must be dismantled. Voting for more of the same is not the answer. We used the system not to gather votes for a slice of the power pie but instead to remove a slice of that pie. If we were to try and get a majority of compassionate people in power we would still first have to remove the evil ones and they aren't going to let that happen. What did it for me was Evan Harris' move to delete several pages from his website and then pretend he never spoke out on those issues. I could no longer vote for someone who I couldn't trust. Good riddance!

I am a medical student and proud of that but the fact remains Dr Harris is front man for the pharmaceutical industry, which kills thousands of people all over the world every year. Sometimes they kill this many with one drug! Animal lab workers kill, torture, abuse, main and terrify millions of animals every year. What kind of person would defend this? This man does not represent decent human beings he represents the darkest evil.
