I am kind of worried. In the introduction to the Quenya course, he writes, "studying his invented languages cannot be dismissed as some kind of silly escapism for romantic teenagers."
But that is what it is to me!!! I am a teenager who is bored over the summer and wants to do something meaningful and intellectual. My family makes references to Lord of the Rings all the time. (Like when we pulled our cat Jumper off a bird and let it fly away- mom turned to me, smiled, and murmured, "Nooooo! You ruins it!!!") Is it okay that it be used for silly romantic escapism?

Quenya has instilled in me a great love of conlang, though it itself can be considered a "real language". ;)
