My daughter is a high functioning autistic adult with xtreme sensory issues. She didn't have the help they have in schools today. If only she'd been diagnosed sooner, she might have been more capable in today's world. She turned 28 on July 29th-that's the day teh quake hit Chino Hills. It's hard watching a kid scream and fight all the time. When i first held her I imagined her wedding day and grandchildren and those dreams are gone now. Sometimes life just isn't fair.

But you know what? We deal. We take every day with a smile and I'm a proud dad when I see her singing Mozart with her church choir. She doesn't even need her music most of the time, she can memorize it in a week when she's paying attention. I can't complain when I see how happy it makes her to stand with her choir and sing.
