Message Hello Helge I am just visiting your site again and read some of your prequel story work. I have a copy of a story of Isildur written by a Brian K Crawford. It is set in the year 3441 covering from April 15 to July 4th. A good bit of work.

Message Helge, I enjoy your dramatization. A few suggestions: 1) The temple is a Gigerized version of the Radcliffe Camera buildling of Oxford; 2) Isildur changes heart by seeing the beauty of the Moon, rather than by seeing the evenstar; 3) Nimloth bursts with white "moon-fire" when ignited; 4) would it be going to far to hear "freedom isn't free" from the mouth of Sauron? 5) Any depictions of the ring-gifted Men before they became Nazguls might include one who is a Middle-earth version of Mordred of Orkney (the Witch-king) and one who is like Ivan the Terrible (perhaps Khamul the Easterling). P.S. Southron "Maino woc!" is brilliant.

Message Amazing! What I would do to see this as an actual movie... On minor gripe though, you mentioned telling that three of the rings sauron had recovered, and four were consumed by dragons? Well that was true by the time of lord of the rings, but in the backstory of the hobbit, the King Under the Mountian still had their ring, and Sauron only recovered it when he dwelled in Dol Gulder, thousands of years after the fall of Numenor. So although it would be nice to mention this, it contradicts too much (especially since the Hobbit will be a movie soon XD)

Message Not wanting to read through 45+ pages of commentary, I wondered whether anyone had pointed out that the rights to this project would have to be procured from Tolkien's estate - which means going through Christopher Tolkien, who has voiced strong opposition to any film and/or other media adaptation of The Silmarillion outside of his own control. Perhaps that's a reason why part 3 has never been completed? (Surely someone has referenced this before.)
